A web developer at Swello is a coding and IT expert, who is responsible for development-heavy web projects and is assigned technical tasks to support the team. You will be responsible for the buildout and troubleshooting of websites and eCommerce sites. You’ll need to blend your existing knowledge of code and troubleshooting with versatility on new platforms/languages to deliver high-quality, easy-to-navigate products on a deadline. You must feel comfortable interfacing with clients in order to understand and bring to life their vision, being able to find solutions for issues that may arise. Role Responsibilities:

Web Developers will collaborate with clients and coworkers to:

  • Develop websites on Shopify, Squarespace and Webflow
  • Take initiative to find solutions for development issues or design flaws, including code editing, integrations, etc.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients so as to understand their expectations and needs
  • Analyze and study issues/weaknesses to resolve them
  • Troubleshoot complex integrations, errors, and new functionalities
  • Implement complex ad tracking code snippets and other necessities.
  • Use technical knowledge to provide solutions without code (set up third party apps, adjust settings and use other resources available)
  • Optimize time usage, prioritize and plan to meet deadlines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 


What We Hope to See:

  • Experience with web builders such as Squarespace, Shopify, Wordpress, Webflow, etc.
  • Experience in HTML, CSS, SCSS, Javascript, etc. Liquid is a plus! (If Liquid isn’t a current ability, we’d like someone who is willing to learn on the job)
  • Familiarity and experience in a web development, marketing, advertising, or sales capacity
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical experience
